Duomi di Milano- Cathedral in Italy
Our first stop was Duomi di Italy! This Duomi is a Cathedral that we decided to visit. It relates to the culture in Italy and as we went inside we were awe-stricken. We departed from our subway and we started walking towards the Cathedral. It stands out, with it's stained glass, windows, and colors. Along with the outside, the inside was so ornate with intricate arches and designs. We all walked in immediately, since we wanted to see all the statues inside. As we strolled inside we learned that the Duomi contains over six centuries of history. It was free to enter into the Cathedral but it cost money to go to the top floor/balcony. We all decided that we would pay the money so we could receive the full experience that the Duomi could give us! We ate lunch at Arnold Coffee. Caroline had seen the coffee shop when we had arrived and really wanted to go and eat there. We checked out the menu, and it looked so great! Extremely hungry, we all ate and had a great time. After roaming around the Doumi we decided that we were done with traveling for the day.For dinner we also ate near our hotel, The Michelangelo Hotel. We ate at Frijenno e Magnanno. They had a good Italian cuisine, and we all enjoyed! We spent the night at the Michelangelo Hotel. It was a luxurious hotel and we all had a good night's sleep on our first day in Italy! This was good so we could be energetic when we explored Milan! We loved our day at the Cathedral and we would definitely recommend this to any other traveler.
