Centrale Montemartini Museum
For our third day in Rome, we decided to go to a science museum. The museum is named Centrale Montemartini, and it holds many historical items. Along with many Roman statues, the museum also has many artifacts of industrial archaeology. The museum holds many exhibits that range from art to technology. One of the most visited exhibits is the "The Machine of the Gods" exhibit. The exhibit is a combination of old Roman statues and the restricted rooms of the first public electricity plant in Rome. It has two vastly different things displayed next to each other. One side is art, and the other is industrial architecture. There are also many ancient monuments which illustrate the city in the olden days. We explored the museum for most of the day and we ate lunch near the museum at PastaritO and continued exploring the museum for another two hours. After the museum we walked around the old Italian city and then made our way back to our hotel, Orange Hotel Rome . Along the way we ate dinner near the hotel. We had a great time at the museum, and we learned a lot about the previous technologies used in Rome.
